Jungle Tour from Krabi Island

On my recent travel to Thailand, I had ended up on the island of Krabi! Here I took the famous Jungle Tour, which is not in any way a disappointment. The tour will start at 8:00 AM and will end at 2:00 PM. This tour is a fair price, with all national park and tour fees included so you won’t need to pay anything extra once you’re on the tour. If you need transportation, they can provide you with an air-conditioned minivan that picks you up at your hotel, Krabi Town, Ao Nang, or Klong Muang. Of course, you may also use your own transportation. Upon arrival, they will assign you your tickets, afterwards you will have a bit of spare time, so I used that to grab a bite to eat. When it’s time to go they will make sure everyone is together, and further assist you with direction on which tour van you will be taking.

All of the vans are air-conditioned and spacious; which is nice because the first stop is going to be the Hot Spring Waterfalls, they are located in the Thung Teao Forest National Park, so the drive is about 45 minutes. The gorgeous hot springs provide a lot of space for everyone so you and your family can comfortably swim and relax. Below the hot springs, they have a beautiful naturally chilled pool you can slide down into whenever you feel the need and then climb back into the springs! Primarily on weekends, it will be much busier, but there is still enough room for everyone. You will have about two hours to spend at the hot springs. You will then pack up and take a walk even further into the jungle to see, and swim in the grand Emerald Pool!

The Emerald Pool is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hot springs. It is a lovely walk through the shaded jungle, but humid so it’s nice to be still wearing your swimsuit or light breathable clothing. When you enter, you will find a bathroom, a few places to eat, plenty of space to explore, and the stunning sight of the Blue Emerald Pool. It truly is an unbelievable sight to see the clarity of the water and the fantastic Emerald Blue color it portrays. In addition to that, there is a ton of room for everyone there and lots of places to keep your personal belongings safe. I recommend bringing a waterproof bag to keep your things in as most of this tour is involved with water. You will spend another 2 hours at Emerald Pool and then it will be time to start walking back at around 12:45. The tour van will leave at 1:30 PM and you will arrive back at Krabi island at 2:00 PM.

If you take this tour, you will not regret it! These genuinely are such remarkable places to visit. Below is a link to book with the company that offers this specific tour and many more! The link will also provide pricing, times, locations a list of well-recommended things to bring along on your trip!

Diving on the Island of Koh Tao

On my recent travels to Thailand, I had obtained my advanced open water license through Padi Dive School a 2-week long course from beginner to advanced in the wide-open waters of Koh Tao an island located in the Gulf of Thailand. This island is full of gorgeous diving spots! Let’s be honest if you’re expecting crystal clear blue water like the Philippines you won’t find it here. There is so much boat traffic on the island it’s hard to see past the sandy murk. If you are an experienced diver, you know that once you get to the bottom, it is a different world down there! Seeing you may be fresh to diving, well you are in for a very satisfying experience. On Koh Tao, you’ll find many dive spots surrounding the area and several different dive guides to take you out! Let me give you a few of the local guides & the most popular dive sites.

These will be the best guide only places that also offer optional accommodation with a resort, any others you will find you will need to either be taking a PADI dive course or NEED to be booking with a high-end resort. Nothing wrong with either of those but if you are just looking for guides only these are your go-to links!
